Oldies become goodies
So I know that most of you are too young to have seen advertising from the 50s and 60s, but maybe a few of you have seen some from an old magazine lying around at a grandparents house. Anyways, I couldn't find the artist that created these, but I thought they were very interesting and even a little comical.
Someone has taken old advertisements, some for products that we think nothing of today, and has mixed them with natural items to create works of art. But you be the judge.
So what do you think? Can you figure out what products they were originally selling? Did they do a good job? What would you have done differently?

This is very interesting. I would have never thought to do something like this. I really like the 2nd and 3rd pieces.
ReplyDeleteI think most of them are pretty easy to tell what they were. The last one is obviously a juicer. Blending is okay, would've used different background things.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind doing this project. I think it would be very challenging I think. I don't know how they do it but it looks fun.

ReplyDeleteI like this one because of the objects used in the actual landscape. The one with the mixer and sky is very cool because it looks like it is mixing the actual sky.
ReplyDeleteI think what the artist was doing is very interesting. You can tell pretty easily what the original product was. The one with the mountain is pretty cool, I like the whip cream idea of snow. I think I would of made it look more cartoonish.
ReplyDeleteI honestly don't like these. I know they're older, but I don't like the quality, and the actual effort looks childish and not tried very well.

ReplyDeleteI think they were all creative. They were trying to sell, orange juicer,hand mixer,a vacuum and whip cream. They did a great job with them all. I wouldn't have done anything different.

ReplyDeleteI personally love this pictures. I love the creativity that they use just to catch the eye. My favorite piece is the kid putting the whip cream on the mountain tops! So awesome and cute.

ReplyDeleteIt´s cool to see regular pictures being formed into some sort of funny art.There is a lot of creativeness and thought put into the placement of the people to make it funny.It is also really creative to make the pyramids of egypt into an orange juicer.

ReplyDeleteI think they did a good job of making their products bigger than life. They are selling whip cream vacuum cleaner blender and oranges. yes they did a good job but i would change the orange advertisement.
