So....

Have you ever just wanted to create something out of nothing?  Have you ever been so bored you decided to build something out of staples?  What?? You haven't thought of building a city out of staples like this guy?

Peter Root decided to just create his own city, out of office staples.

So what do you think of this city?  Is it creative, crazy, or just plain cool?  Would you have the patience or be willing to put in the effort?  What would it take to get you to create something like this?

  1. I feel mean, but when I first saw this I thought of kicking it over. It is cool and I never would have thought about doing this. It probably took hours.

  2. This is a really cool project. It would take forever to create a whole city out of staples. It would also be very frustrating because at any moment one wrong move and it can collapse.

  3. This is very cool. I never would have the patience to do this. It would take a lot of money for me to create this.

  4. This is a really cool thing to look at. Although I don't believe that I would ever try such a thing. It would take way too long to even attempt.

  5. I think this project is a cool creative idea. I would not even try to attempt this I would get bored way to fast. If I had to make something like this it would have to be for something that’s not just going to be destroyed later.

  6. This is a really cool thing to do with things that you normally would make things out of. This imagine took a lot of time, and effort to do without getting frustrated. I definitely would not have the patience to do this because one wrong little move and you could ruin hours worth of work.

  7. This is really cool but I would never have the patience to sit there and make this. I think I would rather just use staples to put my papers together.

  8. I definitely wouldn't have the patience to do this. It kinda seems like a waste of time. I don't really like the way it turned out as it doesn't even look like a city.

  9. This is a very creative and fun project. Its like a little city, its so tiny. I would take the time to do this project although it would take alot od time. I think it would be fun.

  10. Holy crap i bet he spent his life working on this project. Its so cool just to look at it. I wonder if we live in a little town like this and a huge person was messing with us.

  11. Wow i love this. This looks like something from a dream land. It sure would be very hard to create but it sure is cool.

  12. To me this city is pretty sweet. No i would not have the patients to even think about doing this. It would take me more patients than i have to do this.

  13. This is a very creative way of art. I would not have enough patience to do this. The only way somebody could make me do this is with a lot of Mcdonalds

  14. This looks cool. The artist mush have a large amount of time on his hands, I could do a little city like this i think. It would be difficult but a neat idea.

  15. I like it. I dont think I would have patience to do it, but if I did, it would be a great outcome

  16. I would like to try this, but know me I would be almost done and knock it over.

    ReplyDelete
  17. i would like to try this with paper clips. i would end up messing up. this is really cool though

  18. When I first glanced at it I thought it was just a photograph of a city and then I realized it was constructed out of staples. I would probably get frustrated and just end up putting the staples into a staple for actual use but this is a creative idea

  19. OK even though this is really cool i would not want to do something this this because it would take really long and it would get messy.

  20. I would never have the patience to do this. It is a complete waste of time and energy. I would have to be payed to do this.

    ReplyDelete
  21. this is really neat. Where would you put it after your done with this project?

    ReplyDelete
  22. I never would ever try this. To much time that I don't have. But this is cool for someone who has no time to do anything else in their life.

    ReplyDelete
  23. this is cool but realy stupid. it would take way to long. i dont want to do this

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think this is so cool, I do also think it could be a waste of time... But I think if he had the time and money for it thats cool!

    ReplyDelete
  25. This is crazy and cool. I think that it would be interesting to see. I would not have the patience to put them then I would most likely hit something then just leave.

    ReplyDelete
  26. i think it is very cool i have never see something like that before and it is a great thing that someone have the time to do something like that

    ReplyDelete
  27. Something like this is really cool. i like it a lot, but I myself would not have the patience to do this project. Trying to get the staples to stay up would be hard for me to do, because knowing me i would knock it down right when i got it up. but otherwise its really cool, i just don't think i would be able to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. That must have taken a while to make.

    ReplyDelete
  29. i kinda want to know how he got the idea to build things out of staples. Artist are so creative. this would have taken many days and night to build something this large.

    ReplyDelete
  30. This project doesnt seem very hard. It seems like this project was made by somebody being bored and stacking staples intill it looked cool. Pretty neat.

    ReplyDelete
  31. you have to have steady hands to do that. i think it is pretty neat how they did this

    ReplyDelete
  32. This seems like an interesting and extremely hard thing to do. I would never even try to attempt it. Although others may believe that it would be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This is crazy awesome! I would love to try this some time!

    ReplyDelete
  34. This is ridiculous... the fact he has this much time on his hands to create this huge city. It blows my mind how its out of staples.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think that the city made out of staples is really cool. It had to have taken this guy a lot of time to make it. It was a really creative way to use something as common as staples. It would take a very large meal to get me to do this.

    ReplyDelete
  36. This looks hard and very time consuming as you would have to put each individual staple section together.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I think this is a really cool well designed city. I think its a cool city and is something you could see in near future. I dont think i would ever have the patience do this just for the reason on ill knock something over every other second. I think the only way i would do this is for a large amount of money

    ReplyDelete
  38. It's creative and crazy. I love this. I would not have the patience at all. It would take a lot of time, and a lot of supplies.

    ReplyDelete
  39. This guy obviously has alot of time on his hands and he obviously really likes staples. This is really cool but i would get so frusturated because more than likely i would tip on all the buildings

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wow I've never seen something so cool! That's a lot of patience and inspires me to look at staples in an entirely different way.

    ReplyDelete
  41. it's so cute, but I think that it would take some work to do, and I hate doing one project for two months. but I would love it if some did it for me.

    ReplyDelete
  42. A city of staples, what in the world will people come up with next. Once again I am astounded at the steadiness and precision needed to make it. Whoever made this is one talented person.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Was this based on any particular city or just made from the top of his head?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think this is a very cool idea. I would not want to build a big city with all staples because it would take a long, long time. It would be very time consuming

    ReplyDelete
  45. This is a pretty good idea. But you would have to have so much time to do it. I don't think I could be patient enough to finish.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This would take way too long and one box of staples would only get you a little ways in the project so this seems time consuming

    ReplyDelete
  47. this is cool, but i would never have the time/patience to do this. I would end up tipping something over. Although these would be fun to do.

    ReplyDelete
  48. this would cost a lot! and what if you accidently step on it? i think this guy needs a new medium.

    ReplyDelete
  49. To make something like this you need a very steady hand. I think it would take a very long time to create this. Its very cool.

    ReplyDelete
  50. This type of art is very interesting to me. It is not used with pencils or paints, but with patience and structure. It inspires me to take time on my work to make it a possible master piece.

    ReplyDelete
  51. This City is amazing that is a really good idea. I would have the patients to build it but the urge to destroy it would overtake me. I would create a farming scene.

    ReplyDelete
  52. This is so cool. I can`t believe someone actually thought of this. Its an incredible idea. It would take so much patience to make.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think this a unique and creative way to make something like this. You would need to be very steady to do this project and have the patience and courage till you get to the end

    ReplyDelete
  54. That is very cool! I dont think i would have enough patience to build a city out of staples! It is a cool idea!

    ReplyDelete
  55. This is very cool! It was an amazing idea by the artist. I wouldn't be able to do this because i don't have the patience.

  56. These creative buildings look like they been made out of legos. They remind of the little round globes with the fake snow and small tall city's sometimes anyway. I love it.

  57. TINY CITI!!!!!!!!!!!! TIME FOR GODZILLA TO GO ON A RAMPAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    ReplyDelete
  58. Someone had a lot of of extra time.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Man, this thing is wicked cool. I like the patience it would take, and appreciate the hard work this guy put in. Is it an original city, or is it a model?

    ReplyDelete
  60. This looks like it would be fun to do. Except i would not have the patience to do that or the time. I also think that it would probably be very fragile and east to break. It might be fun on a smaller scale than this. Cool art

    ReplyDelete
  61. I think this is awesome looking. It probably took a long time to do. I wouldn't have the patience to that.

    ReplyDelete
  62. this is really cool. i wouldnt have the time or skill to do this. it would take way to long for me to do this.

    ReplyDelete
  63. This looks really fake and photo-shopped(not very good Photoshop) I could do better btw. But I feel like a 5 year old could make this.

    ReplyDelete
  64. this is really cool and looks very time consuming. This would take a very long time. It would also be hard to plan

    ReplyDelete
  65. These are so cute and small! I would love to do something like these someday.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I think this really cool but would be way cooler if it was a realistic cityscape of a real city, Or they could put staples on the wall and ceiling and recreate that scene from inception.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I think this city is good but it looks more like a waist of time to make. It is just plain cool because if you take photo at the right position you will not think it is a miniature building. I will have zero patience making this. I don't even think it's wallpaper worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just love how someone can create something so amazing with just a simple object. It looked almost real, I had to do a double take. Though time consuming, its definitely an eye catcher.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Don't get me wrong, this is amazing to see how someone created this out of staples, but honestly I would never ever have the patience to make this artwork. I feel like once I would start it, I would get my first building up then just give up.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I like how they had the snow. And there is nothing Wrong about it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I like the snow. And there is nothing Wrong with it.

    ReplyDelete
  72. This is really cool how small it is. It is really creative and I wonder how long took to make it. I would like to do something like this.

    ReplyDelete
  73. This is so cool it feels like you can tuch city. IT look like a relly City.

    ReplyDelete
  74. This probably took a lot of precision. I wouldn't be able to concentrate enough to do anything like this. I think this artwork is cool overall.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I think this is cool. It would take forever an I would not have the patience for it. Coming back from a big city, I really appreciate how he made it look like an actually city with all the variance in building sizes.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I think this is really cool. This is something really unique, that I haven't seen. I think it would take a very long time.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Its awesome that he has them all standing up right. I wouldn't ever be able to do it because it would be like a giant domino effect.

    ReplyDelete
  78. This is cool and i would like to try it. I think this will take a long time to finish.I also think I will get mad because I don't like to stay still.

    ReplyDelete
  79. That is really cool i would have never thought of that

    ReplyDelete
  80. This is insane, I wonder how long it took him to do this. He is so talented. I would be scared to trip on fall on all of them. That would be bad. But bravo to the artist, amazing job.
